Dr. Robert Venick is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA, where he serves as Director of Pediatric Liver and Intestinal Transplant Services. Having trained at UCLA, Dr. Venick has been a part of the intestinal failure, and the liver and intestinal transplant team at UCLA over the past several years. His clinical research has centered around nutrition in patients with short bowel syndrome as well as in liver and intestinal transplant recipients. Dr. Venick has received NIH funding and funding from the American Society of Transplantation. He has held leadership positions in the International Liver Transplantation Society and the International Rehabilitation and Transplantation Association.
